Privacy policy

Therapy Growth Systems (“TGS”, “we”, “us”) builds and maintains websites and Google Business Profiles for EMDR and trauma therapists. We operate this website, therapygrowthsystems.com, in partnership with Beyond Healing.

This policy explains what information we collect when you use this site or work with us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions go to will@therapygrowthsystems.com.

Information you give us. When you request a free walkthrough, we ask for your name, email address, phone number, city and state, your practice website (if you have one), your primary specialty, and anything you choose to tell us in the message box. If you email, text or call us, we keep that correspondence. If you become a client, we also collect the details needed to build and run your website: your practice information, the content and photos you send us, your login details for accounts you ask us to manage (for example your Google Business Profile), and billing information.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use a small number of analytics and advertising tools that set cookies or similar identifiers and record how the site is used: pages viewed, the device and browser you use, approximate location derived from your IP address, and the link or ad that brought you here (we tag our emails and ads with a short ?src= code so we know which campaign a request came from). Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs. See Cookies and analytics for the specific tools.

What we do not collect. We work with therapists, not with their clients. Please never send us protected health information about the people you treat. This site is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

• To prepare and deliver your free walkthrough video and your first website draft.
• To answer your questions and follow up about your walkthrough by email or text. You can stop these at any time by replying STOP, using the unsubscribe link, or emailing us.
• To provide, bill for and support the services you sign up for.
• To understand which pages, emails and ads are working, and to improve the site.
• To detect and prevent spam, abuse and fraud.
• To meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the business: the platform where walkthrough requests are stored and follow-up emails and texts are sent, the company that hosts this website, the analytics and advertising-measurement tools described under Cookies and analytics, and our payment processor, which handles card details directly so we never see or store them. Each of them may use your information only to provide its service to us.

If you were referred by Beyond Healing, our training partner, we may confirm the referral with them so your referral discount is applied correctly.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

This site uses the following tools, each of which may set cookies or similar identifiers:

• Google Analytics 4 (property G-2TLQ3VMT4Y) — usage statistics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
• Meta Pixel — records page views and completed walkthrough requests so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show them to people who are likely to be interested. You can adjust this in your Facebook ad preferences.
• Google Ads conversion tracking — records completed walkthrough requests that came from our search ads. Manage it in your Google My Ad Center.
• Hosting analytics— our web host’s aggregated page-view counts, which do not use cookies or identify individual visitors.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will keep working. We do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals.

We keep walkthrough requests and correspondence so we can follow up and so you do not have to repeat yourself if you come back later, unless you ask us to delete them. Client records are kept for the length of the engagement and as long afterwards as our legal and accounting obligations require. Analytics data is kept according to each provider’s retention settings (Google Analytics: 14 months).

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU, the UK or Canada), you may have additional legal rights, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We will honor these requests for everyone, not only where the law requires it, and we will never treat you differently for making one.

To exercise any of these, email will@therapygrowthsystems.com or text (417) 386-2819. We respond within 30 days.

Email will@therapygrowthsystems.com with the subject line “Delete my data” from the address you used with us (or tell us which email and phone number to look for). We will remove your information from our CRM, email and text lists and internal files within 30 days and confirm by reply. We may keep a minimal record of the deletion request itself and any information we are legally required to retain, such as invoices.

The same instructions apply to any information associated with our Facebook or Instagram advertising and to our internal Meta developer app described below.

We maintain a Meta developer app that our own team and internal tools use to manage Therapy Growth Systems’ advertising accounts and Facebook Page through Meta’s Marketing API. It is not offered to the public, does not provide login to anyone outside our team, and does not collect, receive or store information about Facebook or Instagram users. It accesses only our own business assets (ad accounts, campaigns, creatives and their performance data). Any information it handles is covered by this policy and by Meta’s platform terms.

Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with our service providers, each of which maintains its own security program. Access within our team is limited to the people who need it to do their work. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take it seriously and will tell you promptly if a breach affects your information.

When we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email first.
